1 .Know Your Camera
It’s really important to feel at home with your equipment. It does not happen overnight, so practice. Also, know that a film camera has a very different output from a digital camera. For one, the film has a grainy texture to the photo compared to the digital photo.
2. If You Have A Subject, Get Him (Or Her) To Relax
A stiff person will come out harsh. If you have to, talk to your subject before or capture them in candid shots instead. Even that time-old tradition of counting down doesn’t work. If you must, count down but don’t stick to the usual 1-2-3. Count by twos or go up to 4. It’s an ice breaker, if anything else.

It’s important to keep your options open especially when it comes to something creative like photography. Thus, you don’t have to follow conventional rules of composition. Make your own type of edges or center. Don’t let yourself be dictated to by what is acceptable.
